This door takes you directly into the hemicycle of the House.
When a King takes the oath before both chambers in joint session, the King’s family attends the ceremony via this door. This is also what happened on 21 July 2013 when King Philippe took the oath as the seventh King of the Belgians. Queen Mathilde and their four children attended the ceremony through this room and took their seats on a gallery just in front of this doorway.
