The large triangular pediment is a hallmark of neoclassical architecture. The high-relief tympanum, sculpted by Gilles-Lambert Godecharle (1750-1835) in 1781, represents ‘Justice’ – a theme corresponding to the original purpose of this building as the highest court of Brabant.
